Ride for Research....Sign Up Now!

NBIA (Neurodegeration with Brain Iron Accumulation) is a very rare and deadly disease.  They are losing their only research facility in the country due to lack of funding.  I've been asked to be the jumping-off point for the poker run that we've organized to raise money for research on this disease. 

So on Saturday, October 10th, we are riding a poker run, leaving Diamonds at noon, and making stops at the Cabooze, Brewer's in Jordan, the little park in Northfield, and ending at Bogart's in Apple Valley.  The fall colors should be fabulous!

There are some great prizes that have been donated, including a weekend stay at a hotel in Apple Valley.  Prizes for high hand and low hand, plus many prizes will be raffled off at the end of the ride at Bogart's in Apple Valley.

Music at Bogart's will be provided by the Mason Dixons and Concentual, and your entry fee gets you into the bar for the raffle and music, and entitles you to 50% off food and $2 beers at Brewer's in Jordan, the third stop.

Entry fee is $25 per person, or $30 after October 7th.  ALL of the money goes to the NBIA Disorders Association for their research.

Pancakes as usual on Sunday, October 11th.

We will be having our last outdoor pancake breakfast for the season (we hope).  Obviously, if it's too cold in the morning, we'll have it inside, but any way you slice the bacon, it's really yummy and lots of fun!

$7 buys all you can eat from 9am until noon.  Pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice and of course Diamonds' fabu coffee.  Yummmmmmmmm!
